Open space
As you step inside, traditional stone tiles guide your gaze through the living room, across the engawa, and out to the garden. The engawa's glass-tiled roof creates a cozy greenhouse-like space in winter, while in summer, the glass doors open to become an open veranda.
From the beautifully crafted Goemon-style bath, you can also enjoy garden views. This machiya offers a unique, open atmosphere for a relaxing and spacious retreat.

Details

The tableware, inspired by the delicate Ayame color, was custom-made by Araki Pottery Studio.
This includes marble-patterned teacups and rice bowls crafted from clay, emphasizing rich purples.
Though ceramic, the pieces are so finely made that they appear translucent when held to the light.
